Terms of Service

1. The service

Sectr is a beta service for developers aged 18 or older. It is provided AS IS, is free during the beta, and may change, be limited, or stop at any time. Sectr is currently limited in our budget and compute capacity; we reserve the right to halt, throttle, or reduce services accordingly. We strongly advise against deploying production-scale or mission-critical traffic to Sectr during the beta.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• deploy or run malware, or use Sectr to abuse or attack third parties;
• attack, probe, or disrupt the Sectr platform or its users;
• circumvent usage limits, quotas, or concurrency guardrails;
• store or process illegal content;
• cryptomine or utilize compute resources for non-application purposes;
• circumvent usage limits, quotas, auth boundaries, sandbox boundaries, isolation boundaries, or concurrency guardrails;

3. Your code and content

You own your code and content. You grant us the license needed to store, build, and run it, and to process your transcripts, solely to provide the service to you. We do not train any LLMs on any of your data, code, content or transcripts.

4. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for your LLM-provider API keys and the costs they incur, and for your own end users, including any notices and consents required for them. See the Privacy Policy for how we handle data.

5. Suspension

We may suspend or restrict access, with or without notice, for any reason. Sectr is running a beta using limited funding, and we may need to adapt to stay within our compute budget.

6. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT YOUR DATA OR TRANSCRIPTS WILL NOT BE LOST OR CORRUPTED.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE OPERATOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PREVIOUS 12 MONTHS AND $10.00 USD.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Operator from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of Sectr, your code or agents, or your violation of these Terms.

8. Termination

You can stop using Sectr at any time, and can ask us to delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may terminate your access at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 6) do so.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
